Traer Museum to hold Star-Clipper building tour, annual meeting on April 25

The Traer Historical Museum coordinated with the Traer Sesquicentennial Committee on a grant application to refurbish and repaint the Winding Stairs and clock as well as the Taylor Park arch ahead of the 2023 Winding Stairs Festival last August. Pictured is John Panfil of the Traer Community Foundation presenting a check to Traer Museum treasurer Don Stansbery for the grant project’s cost. TRAER – The Traer Historical Museum will hold its annual meeting and ice cream social on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. An optional tour of the second floor of the Star-Clipper-Canfield building will be held ahead of the meeting at 6 p.m. Both events are open to the public.

During the brief meeting a video of the Star-Clipper building will be shown. Attendees will hear an update on the Traer Museum’s 2023 activities and will learn about plans for the future of the museum.

Volunteers will be recognized for their many hours donated to the Traer Museum over the past year.

An ice cream social will be held after the meeting.

All members of the community – not just volunteers – are invited to come to the museum, enjoy ice cream, and learn about the Traer Museum’s 2023 accomplishments as well as plans for the future.
