The district encompasses the communities of Dysart, Clutier, Lincoln, and Buckingham. Randie Brodigan is one of three candidates for the Republican nomination. 1) Why do you want to be a county supervisor? What is your motivation for running?

To better Tama County. To give the voters a voice.

2) Have you previously run for elected office? If so, for what office(s)?

Yes. I ran for Tama County Supervisor.

3) What distinguishes you from the other candidates in your primary race?

After working for Tama County for over 33 years I think I can bring some new and fresh ideas to the table.

4) What changes, if any, do you believe need to be made in Tama County government?

We still need to get a better handle on the budget.

5) What challenges does Tama County face today that you would like to see addressed by the county board of supervisors? If elected, what would you do to help address those challenges?

I would like to see Tama County Board meetings go back to an open agenda where citizens can show up and discuss their concerns. We need to have 15 minutes for citizens to speak on non agenda issues.

6) Following the 2024 election, do you believe the county needs to return to a three-member board of supervisors? Why or why not?

I believe we need to see if a five supervisor board works the way the voters wanted before changing back to three.

7) The development of utility scale wind/solar energy projects in Tama County continues to be a divisive issue. What is your position and why regarding A) a possible wind and/or solar energy moratorium – temporary or otherwise, and B) property rights as it relates to utility scale wind and solar energy projects?

I believe a temporary moratorium would allow Tama County to write ordinances to better protect our land and citizens.

8) Why should people vote for you on June 4, 2024?

If voters want a candidate to represent them I’m that person.
