DYSART – On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, – 5/22/24 – the small but mighty Tama County community of Dysart, Iowa will celebrate its very own Zip Code Day!

This is a once-in-a-century event. It’s the day when the calendar date, 5/22/24, corresponds with the city’s zip code, 52224.

The celebration will take place from 4 p.m.-8 p.m.at Dysart City Park and includes food, festivities and fun. Restaurants and businesses on Main Street are also participating.

The U.S. Postal Service will also join in the celebration by offering a cancellation stamp on historical postcards during normal business hours at the Dysart P.O.

A special t-shirt will also be available for purchase at select stores in downtown Dysart and in the park that evening.
