The one and only agenda item
TOLEDO – As the dew was thick and wet on the morning grass, the usual bunch of partygoers spent their Tuesday morning last week (moved from the usual Monday due to the Labor Day holiday) viewing the Tama County Board of Supervisors’ meeting. After 15 minutes of silence due to no one in attendance having anything controversial to say about the single agenda item, Tama Co. Engineer Ben Daleske started off the meeting with his report.
Iowa Bridge and Culvert are finishing up their project on F Avenue after having finished the project on E Avenue. They are switching back to 8-hour days, and grade work is being done on K Avenue.
The engineer’s office parking lot area is having work done. The bigger claims are due to culverts and the purchase of a semi. A motor grader broke down, and the engineer is in the process of looking for parts.
A request to use the courthouse lawn for Bible reading on Sept. 16-17 was approved.
Claims totaling $603,550.48 were approved.
