Dysart Community Foundation announces grants
DYSART – The Dysart Community Foundation (DCF) is announcing the distribution of $11,019.69 in grants to the following organizations serving the City of Dysart:
-Dysart Community Vacation Bible School: Funding assistance for materials and snacks
-Norma Anders Public Library: Summer reading incentives and enrichment programs
-Dysart Historical Society: Publish brochure to promote Dysart Historical Society
-Dysart Recreation: Fence guard and move baseball fences
-Wolfcreek Players: Summer theater camp
-Dysart Pickleball Organization: Bleacher, ball barrier net, and solar lighting
This is the 27th year of awarding grants. Foundation grants to the community now total $126,402.69.
DCF will receive and accept properties and gifts for the benefit of Dysart and its citizens and will distribute those gifts to community organizations such as those named above, either as the donor directs the funds to be spent, or as the Foundation’s Board of Directors select.
All gifts made to the Foundation qualify as charitable donations for the donor and are recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service. This gives donors the ability to donate to the community of Dysart and avoid federal and state income, estate, and gift taxes on those contributions.
Gifts to the Foundation may be made in cash, appreciated securities, real estate, pledges, deferred gifts (such as life insurance proceeds or bequests through wills), or charitable remainder trusts.
