MASON CITY – During a Friday, June 13 ceremony, the Mason City Fire Department (MCFD) promoted six firefighters to higher positions including North Tama Class of 2000 graduate Brad Boldt (pictured back right) who was promoted to 1st Battalion Lieutenant. Boldt, the youngest son of Marvin ‘Marv’ and Nancy Boldt of Traer, joined MCFD in Dec. 2010. During his swearing in ceremony last Friday, Boldt’s new badge was pinned by his wife Chelle Boldt.
