Dysart to celebrate National Night Out on Aug. 5

DYSART – A free, family-friendly evening of community, fun, and connection is coming to Dysart this August!

The Dysart Chamber of Commerce and Dysart Police Department invite the public to celebrate National Night Out, an annual event that brings neighbors and first responders together to promote community partnerships and public safety. The event will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 6-8 p.m. in Dysart City Park – Main and Sherman streets.

National Night Out is free and open to all ages. Activities include free food; police, fire and ambulance vehicle tours; meet and thank police officers, firefighters, and EMTs who serve Dysart and greater Tama County; ‘Touch a Truck’; kids’ crafts, games, and prizes; and face painting, balloon twisters, crafts, and a DJ.

National Night Out is a nationwide initiative designed to strengthen community ties and foster positive relationships between residents and public safety professionals.
