TOLEDO – The crowd was sparse, and little action was taken at last week’s Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, Sept. 29. It all kicked off, like usual, with Tama County Engineer Ben Daleske giving his report.

Daleske said they are finishing up this week on the intersection of 275th Street and C Avenue to a T Avenue. Iowa Bridge and Culvert is finishing up on the E43 culvert. The E66 Cold-In-Place is close to being finished, and Manatt’s will finish the new asphalt in three to four weeks. They are still finishing work on the low water stream crossing on O Avenue between 200th and 210th. A culvert will be replaced this week at 200th St. between V18 and U Avenue.

After postponing two agenda items, the supervisors took action on the Employee Recognition Policy by delegating this to the department heads.

The only other agenda item the supervisors took action on was the proposed Commercial Solar Ordinance for Tama County. The supervisors approved setting up a work session with the Zoning Commission on the ordinance.

Claims totaling $97,025.34 were approved.
