DYSART – The Norma Anders Public Library is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $500 Aureon Charity Grant and a $750 Farmers Cooperative Telephone Company (FCTC) donation for the purchase of two smart televisions and carts.
According to the library director, Janene Krug, the televisions will be used to enhance the library’s technology services and programming.
“The videos we can stream with a smart TV will help us deliver more educational programs to our users. We also plan to begin a video gaming program in the near future.”
The televisions were installed this past summer. Community groups in the Learning Center and the library board have both used it for meetings.
“Both Aureon and FCTC are dedicated to their local communities. Without their support we likely would not have been able to fund this project,” Krug said. “We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at FCTC for guiding our purchases, assembling the carts and mounting the televisions. We are thankful for their support of this exciting project.”
