Traer had a fine ice cream and confectionary store at 524 Second Street called Olympia Candy Kitchen from 1920 to 1931. Tom Bliss the proprietor is on the left and his sons Christie and James Bliss behind the soda fountain. The Bliss family made homemade fudge, vanilla fudge, coconut fruit bars, peanut brittle and taffy in addition to chocolates, ice cream and sodas.
