Hayek receives Marine Corps Reserves promotion

Brian Hayek, son of Betty and John Hayek, of Toledo and formerly of Clutier, was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserves on Nov. 13, 2025, at the Pentagon by the Secretary of the Navy, The Honorable John Phelan. He was pinned on by his wife, Ashley, and his children Lynley (14), Cambree (11), Marshall (9), Tessa (7) and Siena (3).
Professionally, Hayek serves as the Chief Financial Officer of QE Solar where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s financial operations. In his community, he is the assistant coach and offensive coordinator for his son’s peewee football team. He has four daughters and is deeply involved in their lives as a coach for their various athletic teams and academic clubs as well as a certified volunteer,
In the academic sphere, Hayek actively supports graduating students from South Dakota State University and University of Southern California through formal mentorship programs. He mentors two to four students annually, guiding them in career development and helping secure positions at prominent companies like Apple, Bose, Epic Games and Qualcomm.
“The Marine Corps and the Marine Core Reserves are a unique part of my life that complement both my professional and military service. I believe that being a reservist has made me a better professional CFO and being a CFO has made me a better Marine reservist,” said Hayek.
