TRAER – Traer State Farm Agent Joe Morris wrote what might be his best policy yet last Thursday – retirement.
At an open house held in his honor that afternoon at the downtown Traer office, Morris, who has been with State Farm since 2000, was celebrated by more than 60 customers, friends and staff along with his wife Joyce and their children.
“It is with mixed feelings that I will retire on April 30, 2026,” Morris wrote in a letter to policyholders dated April 15. “I’ve enjoyed being your agent and now am excited about retirement. Your State Farm products won’t be affected by this change. After my retirement, Tyler Peschong [Marshalltown] will assist you temporarily while State Farm works to select your new agent.”
While Morris and his beloved pup Willow – everyone’s favorite office greeter! – add some leisure time to their days (hopefully), State Farm team members Carri Holst and Miranda Bowen will remain on staff at 412 Second Street in Traer. Policyholders can continue to call 319-478-8310 for service.
Happy retirement, Joe!
