Routine business for Tama County Board of Supervisors

TOLEDO – On a sunny Monday, May 18, the usual group assembled for the weekly Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting.

After some public comments, the meeting moved on to the engineer’s report, which stated that they are touching up the chloride on K Avenue. They hauled rock and started the regrade on F Avenue.

The updated DOT preconstruction agreement with the corrected language was approved.

The supervisors heard from Mike Gilchrist from the Council on Aging, who stated that they need to identify more needs and opportunities in the county.

A HomeBase Iowa application was approved.

The following week’s meeting was moved to Tuesday, May 26 at 8:30 a.m. due to the Memorial Day holiday.

An updated backyard Vines LLC Alcohol Permit was approved.

A liquor license for Rusty Ridge Campground was approved.

Claims totaling $221,895.49 were approved.
