St. Wenceslaus to celebrate Feast of Corpus Christi June 7

CLUTIER – The annual Feast of Corpus Christi Mass will be celebrated at St. Wenceslaus Oratory west of Clutier on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The Mass and procession at 10 a.m. A cemetery walk, featuring the Yuska family, will take place at 8:45 before Mass.

The Feast of Corpus Christi celebrates the presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. The celebration was established by the Czech families that founded the parish in 1900. The procession will be led by a band with stops at altars decorated with yellow, pink and purple flowers.

In the early days, a family picnic followed. That evolved into the chicken and ham dinners including Czech Rohliky, Kolache and Koblihy that raised funds for the parish. Today, a potluck dinner follows at St. Paul Parish in Traer. Chicken, ham, potatoes, drinks, and table service provided. Bring a dessert, salad or vegetable.
