Traer Nostalgia: Traer Creamery Butter
PHOTO COURTESY OF THE TRAER HISTORICAL MUSEUM
George Kebschull, left, a federally licensed butter maker and grader, pictured in June 1956 at the Traer Creamery sampling the cream. Each can of cream was graded as one, two or reject. Paul Jacobsen assisted by weighing the cream. The Traer Creamery was known for Cloverdale brand butter. Shortly after this photo was taken, the Traer Creamery was merged with the Garrison Creamery. The building was later remodeled and is now the home of Farmers Savings Bank.
