TRAER – A Granger Reunion will be held at Traer’s Taylor Park on Sunday, June 28, beginning at noon. Many of the reunion attendees are descendants of Eleazer and Eliza Granger Stoakes. Sarah Stoakes Thomas and Eleazer Stoakes were sister and brother. Gary Gute is restoring the B.F. and Sarah Stoakes Thomas house at 414 Fourth St. and has offered this home for a photo opportunity. We hope to recreate the July 4, 1902 photo with as many Stoakes descendants as possible. Those interested, please contact Sharon Stoakes (319.415.3767) to let her know your interest so we have an idea of how many will be involved. The photo will be taken at 2 p.m. during the reunion.
