TOLEDO – Last week’s Tama County Board of Supervisors meeting – rescheduled from Monday, July 13, to Tuesday, July 14, due to Meskwaki Proclamation Day – was quick and to the point.

The meeting kicked off with the roads report – they are mowing, fixing washouts, ditching, and working on culvert installations, among other things.

The supervisors approved fixing the E29 West Bridge Approach for approximately $34,000.

The supervisors approved a utility permit for Grundy REC.

One bid was received to mow the Union Grove Lake nuisance property. The bid was from Ethan’s Lawn Salon for $80 every time they mow, and it was approved.

Quarterly reports from the Sheriff, Zoning/Weed Commissioner, and Recorder were approved. Claims totaling $219,340.39 were approved.
