DYSART – Sponsored by the Dysart Lions Club, the Culpepper & Merriweather Great Combined Circus will perform in Dysart on Friday, Aug. 7, on the grounds of Tama-Benton Co-op located at 504 Estelle Street. Shows will take place at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

C&M Circus has been providing local family entertainment for 41 years. This year, C&M will present its brand new 2026 performance featuring Big Cats presented by Trey Key; Aerialist Extraordinaire Simone on the trapeze; the Perez Daredevil Duo on the Tight Rope; Wheel of Destiny, the high energy Macias family hand and foot juggling; Miss Gianna with her performing canines; and everyone’s favorite circus clown, Leo Acton.

Circus day schedule

-9:30 a.m.: Tent raising and tour. Everyone is invited to watch the big top rise, tour the grounds, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the show. Learn about life on the road and the care the animals receive.

-4 p.m.: Midway opens. Pony rides, moon bounce, giant slide, face painting, concession stand, and box office open.

-5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.: Circus performances. Each show lasts about 90 minutes.

Advance tickets can be purchased before Circus Day from the following locations: Dysart State Bank, Northeast Security Bank, Farmers Co-Op Telephone Co., and Daniel Hartwig (call 319-939-8835). A higher percentage of advance ticket sales goes back to the Dysart Lions Club – meaning more money into the community.
