GARWIN – Iowa native, Linda Betsinger McCann, will be speaking next month at the Garwin Public Library about her newest book, “Rosie the Riveters of Iowa.”

McCann will be speaking at the library Tuesday, Oct. 6 beginning at 1 p.m. Everyone is welcome and there is no admission charge. Students aged middle school and up are welcome to attend.

McCann was surprised at what she learned from speaking to women who worked as ‘Rosies’ and she shares those memories when she speaks. As part of her research, she spoke with 50 women who worked in the factories during World War II.

To date, McCann has had 12 books published and will have copies of all the books for purchase during the Garwin Public Library event; cash and checks only, please.
