Dana S. Prestemon, 48

Dana Sue Prestemon was born on November 4, 1965, in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Jerry and Carole (Klemp) Hadley. She grew up in Dysart and graduated from Dysart Geneseo High School with the class of 1984. She then attended AIB in Des Moines. Dana worked as a Lien Researcher for GMAC for many years. She enjoyed sports, attended her children’s sporting events, spending time with her family and friends, and her annual girl’s trip. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Dysart. Dana died on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at the age of 48, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. Dana is survived by a daughter, Chelsie Prestemon of West Des Moines; two sons, Matt (Megan) Prestemon of Dysart and Garrett Prestemon of Dysart; parents, Jerry and Carole Hadley of Dysart; two sisters, Julie Stanton of Marshalltown and Lisa (Larry) Formanek of Belle Plaine; two grandchildren, Aedric Prestemon and Brixon Schmidt; and many nieces and nephews. Dana will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
