David Bradley, 80
David Bradley, 80, of Waterloo and formerly of Traer, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Bridges Senior Lifestyle Living. Visitation will be held at Overton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic Service conducted by Hesperia Lodge 340 at 7 p.m. Regular service will be held on Friday, October 24 at 10:30 a.m. with burial at Buckingham Cemetery.
David Bradley was born on April 25, 1934, in Traer, Iowa, the son of Albert and Florence (Yohn) Bradley. He received his education in Traer and entered the United States Air Force in 1952. While on leave, he was united in marriage to Viola Cramer on December 29, 1952. They later divorced. After being honorably discharged in 1962, David moved to Waterloo and worked at Hawkeye Steel for twenty years. He then took a job with Area 7 Schools until his retirement. In 1991, David built a home in Traer where he lived until moving to Waterloo in 2011. He was a member of the Jesup Masonic Lodge and later transferred his membership to the Traer Lodge. David died at the age of 80 on Monday, October 20, 2014, at the Bridges Senior Lifestyle Living in Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents and a bother, Wayne. David is survived by two sons, Steve Bradley of Cedar Rapids and Clay (Brunilda) Bradley of Waterloo; two daughters, Deborah (Donald) Minard of Waterloo and Donna Bergeron of Albert Lea, MN; ten siblings, Ardis Tanner of Waterloo, Ida Schwartz of Waterloo, Roger (Kyra) Bradley of Waterloo, Jean Novotny of Traer, Jane Gaston of Waterloo, Lynus (Marlene) Bradley of Traer, Linda (Hans) Moeller of Tama, Kathy (Dave) Schmit of Traer, Steve Bradley of Holiday Lake, and Dan (Marty) Bradley of Traer; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
