Gordon “Gordie” E. Robb, 76

Gordon “Gordie” Earl Robb was born on September 12, 1938, in Waterloo, the son of Earl and Inez (Dunlap) Robb. Gordie graduated from Traer High School. In 1972, he was united in marriage to Judy Dunham in Cedar Falls. The couple made their home in Traer, the town he loved. Gordie worked at the Vinton Canning Factory and retired from Traer Municipal Utilities after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Traer United Presbyterian Church, served on the Buckingham Cemetery Board, was on the Traer Planning and Zoning Board, the Traer Historical Museum Board, and was secretary of the TA-BE-CO Senior Golf League. Gordie was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, Chicago Bear fan, and NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed golfing, classic cars, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Gordie died at the age of 76 on Friday, February 6, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gordie is survived by his wife, Judy of Traer; a daughter, Kelly (Stan) Nelson of Rochester, Minnesota; and two grandsons, Devan and Danan Nelson.
