Sylvia A. Weishapple, 80

Sylvia Ann Weishapple was born on April 28, 1934, in Lake Park, Iowa, the daughter of Howard and Ruth (Breffle) Randall. She met her first husband, Neal, on a blind date and had five children. They later divorced. She later married Jack Weishapple, from Durand, Wisconsin. After his passing, she lived in Hudson and Traer. Sylvia enjoyed her summers in Minnesota, fishing, auctions, casinos, Bingo, being warm, and watching her favorite TV shows on the Discovery Channel or the Weather Channel. She also loved her morning coffee with her father in law, Adolph, and friends, Leland and Virgil. Sylvia kept busy with her kids’ sporting activities, odd jobs, bowling teams, collecting Ty Beanie Babies, and eventually caring for her mother. She is well known for her yeast rolls, sense of humor, and sparkling blue eyes. Sylvia died peacefully at the age of 80 on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her second husband, Jack; a daughter, Cynthia; a son, Steven; a brother and a sister. Sylvia is survived by a daughter, Janice Himschoot of Traer; two sons, Brian (Deana) Himschoot of Waterloo and Alan Himschoot of Baudette, Minnesota; a brother; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren with one on the way; her first husband, Neal; a daughter in law; and her dog.
