Mark A. Zook, 54

Mark Allen Zook, 54, of Traer, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo, of a sudden illness.

He was born Oct. 21, 1962, in Des Moines, son of Harlan and Judith Zook. He married Dawn Lofquist on Feb. 13, 1983, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua.

Mark worked at Wilson’s Restaurant Supply for eight years.

Survived by: his wife; three sons, Nicholas (Riley) of Waterloo, Tyler (Leah) of Cedar Falls and Allan of Traer; a daughter, Sarah (Matthew) Hochstetler of Traer; a brother, Matthew of Evansdale; and 15 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; and a sister-in-law.

Memorial services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at AMVETS Post 49 in Cedar Falls, with military honors.

He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He always helped someone in need.
