Frank “Jim” Schrier, 86

Frank J. “Jim” Schrier, 86, of Hudson, died Wednesday, April 19 at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born September 28, 1930 in Waterloo the son of Joseph and Kathryn Griffin Schrier. He married Joanne Jacobs on July 23, 1952 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Blessing in rural Hudson.

Jim farmed in Hudson and Traer until his retirement. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps.

Jim was baptized, confirmed and married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Blessing in rural Hudson.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Deb (Dave) Murray of Hudson and Pat (Dana) Webber of Nokomis, FL; three grandchildren, Lisa (Sterling) Simonson, Tami (Chris) Langham and Jesse (Katie) Rhoades; four step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen Farkas of Anchorage, Alaska and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Schrier.

A funeral service was held Saturday, April 22, 2017.
