Mary Ann Drinovsky

Mary Ann Drinovsky, 93, died at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer on Monday, August 31, 2020. She was born June 5, 1927 in Waterloo to Anthony Parrish and Pauline Reinertson.

Mary Ann went to school in Waterloo through 8th grade and then went to work in a laundry service. She also worked in a telegraph office, did housework, and later worked at Sunrise Hill Care Center and cleaned St. Luke’s Church. Mary Ann married Wilbur Drinovsky on June 27, 1948 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They made their home on a farm south of Traer. Wilbur died in September 23, 1994 and she continued to live on the farm for many years before moving to Traer.

Mary Ann is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jim) Anderson and Pat (Mike) McKinney; a son, Lee (Angie) Drinovsky, and 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Wilbur.

A graveside service is scheduled for Friday at the Buckingham Cemetery at 1:45 PM. Parrott and Wood is handling arrangements. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke’s Church or Cedar Rapid’s Comprehensive Treatment Center for hospice.
