Samuel Oliver Markussen

September 28th, 2020 – September 30th, 2020

A little over 32 hours after coming into the world, Samuel Oliver Markussen passed away on his mom’s chest at UIHC in Iowa City, Iowa. He was loved by all who met him.

Born at 23 weeks and 1 day, and only weighing 1 lb and 4 oz , Samuel was very responsive to his mom and dad’s voices. He was born at 4:04pm on September 28th and passed away at 12:53am on September 30th.

He is survived by his mother and father Briana and Maxwell Markussen; his paternal grandparents, Christine and Michael Markussen and his maternal grandmother Carol Raymond.

A private service will be held at UPC on Saturday October 10th. All donations are accepted and will be used for medical and funeral expenses. We would love to thank the community for all the prayers and support.
