Larry Kotouc

Larry Charles Kotouc, 86, of Dysart, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2021, at his home. He was born on August 29, 1934, on the family farm near Garrison, the son of Charles and Thelma (Loveless) Kotouc. Larry attended Dysart Community Schools. On June 15, 1968, he was united in marriage to Suzanne Karr in Waterloo. The couple made their home on the family farm. Larry worked at the Vinton Post Office and enjoyed working on the farm. Larry also enjoyed collecting farm toys, going to tractor shows, traveling, and spending time with his wife and grandchildren. A highlight for Larry was going to the Czech Republic to see the village where his father was born. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Everette Smith; and a grandson, Charles Kotouc. Larry is survived by his wife, Suzanne, of Dysart; two sons, Eric and his wife Claudia Kotouc of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Mark and his wife Sheila Kotouc of Garrison; three grandchildren, Garrett, Brooke, and William; and a sister, Opal Sheppard of Harrison, Arkansas. A private family service will be held with burial at Gnagy Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
