Larry Knoop

Larry Knoop was born July 9, 1949 in Waterloo, IA: the son of Wendell and Helen (Sedlacek) Knoop. He attended Carroll #6 school outside of Clutier and graduated from North Tama in 1967. Larry married Colleen Arp in 1974, they had a daughter, Andrea, they later divorced. He married Susan Cecak in 1980, they had a son, Wendell and a daughter Alicia, they later divorced. Larry was employed with Lennox for 45 years, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed coyote and deer hunting, fishing and ice fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and going on deer cruises drinking beer.

Larry passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021 at his home at the age of 72. He is preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Melvin Valentine. Larry is survived by his children: Andrea (Jeff) Coen of Cedar Falls, Wendell (Sara) Knoop of Traer and Alicia (Troy) Titcomb of Elberon; two grandsons: Gavin Knoop and Zane Knoop; two step-grandsons: SPC Travis Waller of Alaska and Evan Waller of Traer; two brothers: Dean (Sharon) Knoop and Loren (Leanne) Knoop both of Clutier and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Visitation will be Friday , September 24, from 3 pm to 7 pm, at Overton Funeral Home in Traer
