Margaret Agnes Wauters, 99, of Dysart

Margaret Agnes Wauters, 99, passed away on December 10, 2021, at MercyOne. She was born January 21, 1922, SW of Clutier on the family farm; the daughter of John and Julia (Vavra) Sedlacek. Margaret attended Carroll No. 7 country school through the 8th grade, high school in Clutier for 2 years then correspondence school the last 2 years. On June 15, 1949, she married Cyril Wauters in Clutier at the Immaculate Conception Church.

Margaret was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Clutier. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, attending grandchildren’s activities, was an avid reader, and always enjoyed visiting with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Cyril, 2 brothers, John and Fred, and 2 sisters, Helen and Eleanor “Susie”. Margaret is survived by her children, Carol (Robert) Busby of Elgin, IL, Patricia “Pat” (Steve) Ernst, of Ankeny, Richard “Rich” (Janis) Wauters of Dysart, Jerry (Lori) Wauters of Elberon; grandchildren, Jon (Reva) Busby, Adam (Leah) Wauters, Michael Wauters, Ryan (Cecily) Johnston, Kelsey (Charlie) Swanson, Jared (Christine Epping) Wauters, and Joel Wauters; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Sloane, and Gemma Busby, Tate and Levi Wauters, Cash, Shelby, Kinley, and Paisley Johnston and Tessa Swanson; a sister Pauline Sienknecht, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the family. A visitation will be held at the Dysart Funeral Home on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a service on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Traer at 10:00 AM.
