Jolene Sue Cibula

Jolene Sue Cibula was born on November 29, 1950, in Marshalltown, the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Hempy) Borisky. Jolene graduated from Toledo High School. On December 27, 1975, she was united in marriage to Marvin Cibula. Jolene worked at Fishers Controls in Marshalltown and was a lunch lady at Chelsea, Toledo, and North Tama schools until she retired. She loved being around all the kids. Jolene was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed family vacations, trips anywhere, going to the cabin, going to the casino, going out to eat, watching game shows, being on the pontoon at the lake home, going to the Amanas, going to the river in the Fall, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Jolene died at the age of 71 on December 30, 2021, at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Paul James. Jolene is survived by two children, Joni (Rich) Stalker of Traer and Tim (Casey) Cibula of Traer and two sisters, Mary Cibula and Ann Neville. The funeral will be on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer. Visitation will be for an hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will take place at Stayskal Cemetery in rural Vining.
