Paul Arlo Hulme

Paul Arlo Hulme was born on November 10, 1927, on the family farm, the son of Leonard and Janette (Stoakes) Hulme. Paul graduated from Dinsdale High School and served his country in the United States Army. On November 20, 1950, he was united in marriage to Mary Rohach. The couple made their home in the Traer area where Paul was a farmer. Paul was a member of the Traer American Legion for 70 years. He enjoyed going to his grandkids’ ball games, fishing, horses, and spending time with his family. Paul died at the age of 94 on March 25, 2022, at MercyOne Hospital in Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dwayne Hulme; a brother, Leland Hulme; and a sister, Margaret Schrader. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary, of Traer; three children, Gary (Sue) Hulme of Traer, Dwight (Denise Overton) Hulme of Traer, and Denise (Loren) Wrage of Clutier; ten grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. The visitation will be on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Overton Funeral Home. The service will be on Friday, April 1, 2022, at 10:30 AM, at Overton Funeral Home. The burial will be at Buckingham Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Traer American Legion.
