Delores Darlene Jacobs, 83

Delores Darlene Jacobs died on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer at the age of 83. She was born on September 27, 1938, in Traer to Dean and Maurine (Dobson) McConnell. In 1962, Delores married Ron Jacobs in the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

She worked as a sales clerk for many years in a liquor store and then local grocery stores. Delores enjoyed playing many card games, especially Pepper, Poker and Hand and Foot. She also enjoyed Cribbage, Bingo and the Casino. Delores also liked bowling, crafts, painting, jig-saw puzzles, reading; she read about 3 or 4 books a week, especially from James Patterson. Delores loved trying out different recipes, watching crime and cooking shows and spending time with her family and cat, Macie.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ron; a son, Steve Jacobs; a brother, Don McConnell; and a daughter-in-law, Cathy Jacobs.

Left to cherish Delores’ memory are her 3 children: Deb (Tom Fitzpatrick) Jacobs, Joe (Paula) Jacobs, and Daron Jacobs; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Jacobs; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
