Teresa Ludmilla (Hayek) Masker, 59, passed away Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, at Hospice of the Valley Eckstein Center in Scottsdale, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 13th, 2022, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama with Father Michael McAndrew as celebrant. Private family interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Lunch will be served at St. Patrick’s.

Teresa was born on September 15, 1962, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Lillian (Posusta) Hayek. A Graduate of South Tama High School and also Iowa School of Beauty, she enjoyed cutting hair for all. Using her skills at weddings and other events as needed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always was the first to volunteer to organize a celebration. She was loved by all in her community and thrived in her role as mother.

Survivors include her son, Austin Masker (Rio Wade). Siblings Eugene (Florence) Hayek, of Phoenix, AZ, Carolyn (Marvin) Bohnstengel, of Clutier, IA, Monica (Allen) Brezina, of Johnston, IA, Mary Kay (Terry) Boldt, of Traer, IA, Norman (Doreen) Hayek, of Evansdale, IA, Ramona (Mitch) Zimbeck, of Hiawatha, IA, Paul (Lisa) Hayek, of West Des Moines, IA and Connie (John) Mahlstede, of Marshalltown, IA. Sister-in-laws Barbara (Mitch) Wieben, of Clutier, IA and Sonia Hayek, of Toledo, IA. Many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her infant son, Chaz; her brothers Joseph Hayek, Anthony (Tony) Hayek and Francis (Frank) Hayek.
