Ena Potthoff, 91

Ena Potthoff, 91, of Traer and formerly of Vinton, passed away on January 19, 2023. A graveside service was held on January 31, 2023, at Buckingham Cemetery near Traer.

She was born October 23, 1931, near Parkersburg, the daughter of Hilko and Stina (Behrens) Oldenburger. She worked as a bookkeeper in Waterloo after graduation. She married Roger Blocker and they farmed near Traer for 20 years. After they divorced, she married Walter Potthoff of Vinton and later divorced. She loved Iowa Hawkeye Men’s basketball, spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards.

Ena is survived by 2 sons, Steve (Betty) Blocker, of Traer, and Lonne (Wendy) Blocker, of Dysart; a daughter, Janet (Bruce) Ogesen, of Phoenix; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and a sister.
