Lawrence A. “Larry” Kullmer

Lawrence A. “Larry” Kullmer was born June 14, 1936, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Robert and Pearl (Watson) Kullmer. He graduated from Dysart High school, and went on to Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa, to study mathematics. Larry worked at General Dynamics in Pomona, California, before returning to Dysart. He then worked at Evergreen Elevator and Hatchery until his retirement. Larry loved learning, he spent a lot of time studying and he was highly intelligent. He liked to read subjects on math and sciences.

Larry passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at Ravenwood Specialty Care in Waterloo, at the age of 86.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, William “Bill” Kullmer and Robert “Tony” Kullmer.

Larry is survived by a brother Steven Kullmer, of Dysart, and his nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 11:30 am, at the Dysart Cemetery.
