Myron Engelhardt Jr.

Myron George Engelhardt Jr. was born on December 31, 1957, in Waterloo, the son of Myron Sr. and Marcella (Adams) Engelhardt. He was raised and attended schools in the Waterloo area. Myron married Diana Cavanaugh in 1978 and later divorced. He married Marjorie (Buss) Wroe Dehart in 1989 and later divorced. On March 17, 1996, Myron married Nancy Wrage. He had many jobs before working with Mike Price at Aable Pest Control and Terminix, working for 35 years and retiring in 2020. He loved old time country music, Nascar racing and restoring old cars. Myron passed away at the age of 65 on November 10, 2023, at UPH Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Millie and Ralph Wrage; sister, Myrna Wagner Engelhardt; niece, Sarah Armstong and step brother, Jay Foremen.

Myron is survived by his wife, Nancy; sister, Marcia Fenner, of Jesup; two sons, Matt (Shawna) Cavanaugh, of Arvada, Colorado, and Dusty Engelhardt, of Liberty, Missouri; 2 step children, Robbie (Betty) Wroe, of Evansdale, and Barbie (Ronnie) Wroe-Steere, of Evansdale; sisters-in-law Carol Newell, of Apache, Oklahoma , Barbara (Roy) Wright, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Cindy (Cavanaugh) Bamford, of Waterloo; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The funeral will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories. The burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. The visitation will be on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, also at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the family.
