Mary Hulme

Mary Eleanor Hulme was born October 19, 1928, near Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Jerry and Helen (Kalinay) Rohach. She graduated from Garwin High School in 1945. Mary married Paul Arlo Hulme on November 20, 1950, he preceded her in death on March 25, 2022. She helped Paul on the family farm. Mary was a frequent bowler, avid Yankee fan and enjoyed fishing. Mary was very active in the Traer Legion Auxiliary. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events.

Mary passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 95, at Sunrise Hill Care Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Dwayne Hulme; three brothers and three sisters.

Mary is survived by her four children: Gary (Sue) Hulme, of Traer, Dwight (Denise Overton) Hulme, of Traer, Denise (Loren) Wrage, of Clutier, and John (Cathy) Cameron, of Illinois; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren, with two on the way; a brother, Alfred (Rose) Rohach, of Cedar Rapids, and two sisters, Blanche Halupnick, of Adel, and Verna Ottenheimer, of California.

Burial: Buckingham Cemetery at a later date.
