Patricia Kvidera
TRAER-Patricia Lee (Morrissey) Kvidera, 91, of Brownsburg Indiana, and formerly Traer, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024, in Brownsburg, IN with family by her side. A Memorial Mass will be held for Patricia and John on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:30 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer. Interment will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery in Traer.
Pat was born August 24, 1932 in Newton, Iowa, the daughter of Jeremiah and Arlene (Fellingham) Morrissey. Pat was raised in Ames, Iowa and attended St. Cecelia's school through the 8th grade and graduated from Ames High in 1950. She was a 1953 graduate of Mount Mercy School of Nursing in Cedar Rapids and went on to work as a registered nurse in a hospital in California.
On June 26, 1954, she was united in marriage to John Kvidera at the Divine Savior Catholic Church in Los Angeles, CA and they spent most of their married life in Traer. Pat was an RN at Sunrise Hill Care Center for 25+ years and retired in May 2006. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, baking cookies and socializing with friends and family. Pat and John moved to Indiana to be closer to family and in December 2021, Pat moved to Brownsburg Meadows.
Survivors include her sister, Veronica Amaral of La Crescenta, CA; her children, Michelle (Charles) Record, of Indianapolis, IN, Jerry (Kathy) Kvidera, of Plymouth, MN, Mark (Kate) Kvidera of Lafayette, CO and Kelli (Tim) Staut, of Buffalo, MN; her sister-in-law, Phyllis Kvidera of Ames; eight grandchildren, Megan (Robert) Schaffner, Sarah Record, Allison (Simon) Gottlieb, Abigail (Greg) Carpenter, John Carlos Kvidera, Max Kvidera, Emma Staut (Liam Ehrecke), and Claudia Staut; three great grandchildren, Patrick, Caleb and Elise Schaffner; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John on May 15, 2022; her siblings, Barbara Lieb, Frances/Sister Mary Stella Morrissey and Jerry Morrissey.
Memorials can be directed to St. Paul Catholic Church.
