Jackson Slingluff exchanged vows

Jackson/Slingluff

Luann Jackson and Gene Slingluff exchanged wedding vows on October 2, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Garwin United Methodist Church.

Parents of the couple are Roger and Karen Jackson, Garwin, and the late Richard and Waneta Slingluff.

Rev. Harry Wach performed the double ring candlelight ceremony.

Nancy Keller, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Mark Krukow, friend of the groom was the bestman.

Frances Jackson, niece of the bride was flower girl and Wyatt, nephew of the bride was ringbearer. Ushers were Matt Jackson, brother of the bride and Keith Slingluff, nephew of the groom. Sue Koster, friend of the family was pianist. Sam Slingluff, nephew of the groom, was soloist accompanying himself on guitar. Ann Jackson served her sister-in-law as personal attendant.

Luann was attired in a strapless gown featuring a sweetheart neckline. The dress was accented with crystal beading. Her veil featured beading to compliment the dress. Nancy was attired in a clover green strapless dress. They carried bouquets of white roses accented with green and purple flowers. Frances wore a white satin dress featuring a brown and clover green sash made by the mother of the bride. The gentlemen in the wedding party were attired in black tuxes accented with green vests.

Honored guests were grandparents of the bride, Leon and Verna Stamp, Garwin.

The couple left the church in a 1940’s Chevy pickup that had been restored by the groom.

A reception followed at the Reinig Center in Toledo. Jarrod and Tara Ulery, friends of the couple were host and hostess.

Luann graduated from UNI and teaches pre-K at Meskwaki Settlement School.

Gene is a master electrician and employed by the city of Marshalltown.

The couple resides in Beaman.
