Several members of the Dysart Tree Board attended the Iowa Urban Tree Council Awards Luncheon, April 3, 2014 in Johnston, Iowa.

It was an interesting luncheon meeting: Governor Terry Branstad signed the governors annual arbor day proclamation, a panel discussed and answered questions about the emerald ash borer, Dysart received a 2013 Tree City USA and growth award, and the D-G FFA received an outstanding Youth Project award. Ben Turner and Jon Roettger received the award for a project of planting fruit tree, raspberries etc. as a FFA project.
