This group of Dysart residents attended the Vision Iowa Board meeting in Des Moines on April 9. Mayor Pam Thiele and Katherine Ollendieck updated the board on our fundraising progress. The city will attend the May 14, meeting and hope to be very close to our goal of $176,000 at that time. We must raise 20% of the total project cost through private contributions to be considered as a grant recipient. As of April 15, we have raised $107,000. It is crucial to wrap the fundraising portion up in the next 4-6 weeks so a summer start can be realized. Those attending the meeting (pictured above) included Dwayne Luze, Mary Wankowitz, Ken Gregory, Mary Ann Gregory, Tom Brandt, Jackie Hennessy, Katherine Ollendieck, and Mayor Pam Thiele.
