Relay for Life releases schedule

Food and fun will fill the afternoon and evening of the Relay for Life of Tama County on Saturday, June 14. All events will take place at the South Tama High School track to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones, and raise funds to fight cancer. In case of rain it will move to the nearby South Tama gymnasium. The Relay for Life is free and open to all.

A delicious food menu will be available at all times, served by the Czech Chicks team. A Silent Auction will be open until 8 p.m. offering wonderful items from homemade bread to oil changes to theater tickets, and much more.

Anyone interested in making a luminaria donation, buying a raffle ticket or walking in the Survivors Lap may do so. For more information contact Ashley Bolen, Tama/Toledo, 641-484-0204; Marilyn Svoboda, Clutier, 319-479-2732; Karen Symonds, Dysart, 319-476-7762; Luane Lorenzen, Traer, 319-231-0820. An order form for luminaria also appears in this newspaper.

Join other Tama County folks to support the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. Every day someone new is diagnosed, every day a better treatment is discovered, every day someone recovers and lives to celebrate more birthdays. Come to help in this important battle that touches everyone, young and old alike.
