The Dysart Community Foundation recently presented grant funds to the Dysart Historical Society. Brian Weber from the Dysart Community Foundation made the presentation at the regular meeting of the Museum Board on September 9th. The funds were earmarked for the waterproofing of the brick museum at the Dysart Historical Center. The 120 year-old building, which was formerly the Peace United Church of Christ, was constructed of soft, porous bricks which were manufactured at a brick and tile company early in Dysart’s history. The funds are greatly appreciated as the waterproofing will help preserve one of Dysart’s most historic buildings for the future.
