Linda Wiges of Traer believes it’s never too late to start something new. Area residents have enjoyed her original plays, and now she’s ventured into a different kind of creative writing. Wiges has recently published her debut novel on Amazon.com/books. The title is HAPPY DREAMS, and is currently available for sale online.

HAPPY DREAMS is set in and around the Meskwaki Hotel Casino. Certain references are familiar, but the story in entirely fiction. Elizabeth Raines has just arrived in her hometown of Tama after being in prison for twenty years. She has reason to believe she may have a surviving child who is waiting for her. A search for her offspring takes many twists and turns and the shocking outcome shatters Liz’s dreams about motherhood. It’s a compelling read that will stay with you for a long time.
