UHS presents first vocal concert of season
On Tuesday, Oct. 21st at 7:30pm the Union High School Vocal Department will present their Fall Vocal Concert as the first public event of the 2014-2015 Concert Season.
Mr. Mitchell, vocal director at UHS stated, “This will be a great way for the public to experience the great things to come from the Music Department this year at UHS. We have a great mix of experience and new talent that are working towards a fine cohesive vocal sound for the department.”
The Fall Vocal concert will feature the students auditioning for the Iowa All-State chorus along with the UHS Concert Choir. The UHS Concert choir will be performing “Cry Out and Shout”-Nystedt, “How Can I Keep From Singing”-Davis (featuring local string players Brady & Ben Rempe), “The Heavens Are Telling”-Hayden, “Prayer of the Children”-Bestor, A special Halloween themed treat and will close with “Way Over In Beulah Lan'”-Gibbs. The concert will start at 7:30pm in UHS’s Matt Auditorium with admission of $5.00.
