Grant pays for new ambulance

The Dysart Ambulance Service recently took delivery of a new ambulance for our community. Steve Weekley, director of the Dysart Ambulance Service, and pictured at right, accepts a check from Marilyn Mehlhaus, Dysart Community Foundation Vice Chair, for the new ambulance. The grant given the Dysart Ambulance Service was one of eleven community projects, operated by local non-profit organizations, receiving funding by the Foundation in 2014.

The Dysart Community Foundation receives general and endowment gifts from the community and, together with the income from its Endowment and investment income and proceeds from its Annual Pancake Breakfast, makes grants annually each spring. The Annual Fundraising Pancake Breakfast, part of ‘Christmas on Main’ activities, will be held Saturday, December 6th from 8:00-12:30 at the Dysart Community Building.
