Santa at Tree of Lights festivities
Dysart’s Tree of Lights festivities will be held Saturday, December 6. The morning will kick off with a Pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. sponsored by the Dysart Community Foundation at the Community Building. At 9 a.m. the wonderful Union Carolers will begin the Tree of Lights program. They will be followed by a skit from the Wolf Creek Players, the energetic Elementary singers, and the Jeune Attente Dance Groups. Santa will arrive at approximately 10 a.m. for all the children young and old! During this time the Union FFA Club will be selling a variety of Christmas cookies for the public to purchase. The lighting of the Christmas tree by the Community Building will take place with the announcement of the top donor. Refreshments will be served upstairs by the Women’s Club, free turkey drawings and hayrack rides will be sponsored by the DDC.
Additional donors to the tree of lights since the last printing: Blue Bulbs by Marcella Milne, Earnest & Ann Anniss, Tom & Pam Brandt, Don & Diana Sparks in honor of Dean & Phyllis Harrison, Robert & Darlene Peters in memory of Keith Peters; Gold Bulbs by Hansie & Jan Schutterle in honor of Matt Schutterle, Trunck’s Country Foods in honor of Terry & Janet Trunck, Roger & Maxine Bottema in memory of their parents.
