Small Business Saturday

The Saturday after “Black Friday” has been deemed “Small Business Saturday” in recent years around the entire country. This trend started in order to help smaller businesses that were not chains to also get the boost of sales that follow for most big box stores after Thanksgiving, and before Christmas.

All of the Main Street business’s participated this year, and the turnout was remarkable! Wanda from Sassy’s Boutique stated “Thanks to all that shopped small this weekend,” Wanda from Sassy’s Boutique said. “We had the BEST Black Friday and Small Business Saturday in the history of our boutique!”

Congratulations to Sassy’s on their record breaking days! She went on to say they even broke the record during their 3 hour sale on Thanksgiving Day.

“We so appreciate the support! More new items arrived on Friday and we will continue to keep our shelves stacked right up until Christmas Eve,” Wanda said.

Lisa from Front Porch Primitives and Antiques was hosting her Grand Re-opening the same day as Small Business Saturday.

“All I have to say is, it was awesome! It was so great to see new faces and also Dysart residents shopping small town and not the big stores,”Bandfield said.

What a great turn out and show of support for our wonderful local businesses. This coming Saturday there will also be plenty of fun on Main Street with the annual Christmas on Main event!! See everyone there and thank you for continuing to support local businesses and help keep places like Dysart thriving and fun!
