DDC hosts booth at Waterloo Home Show
The annual Waterloo Home Show was held this year from February 6th to the 8th at the 5 Sullivan Brothers Center. The Dysart Development Corporation put in a tremendous amount of work and effort to host a booth at the show. Several volunteers spent hours decorating and running the booth during the weekend of the show.
The show welcomed over 2000 attendees this year. The DDC and volunteers put together a wonderful display highlighting the many exciting and superb things that Dysart has to offer. They represented most of our delightful businesses, including Sassy’s Boutique, and the very popular new KE Black Mercantile Kitchen Store.
They also spread the word about several of the outstanding and enjoyable events that the DDC, the Lyons Club, The Blue Hats Group, and the entire town of Dysart host each year. Some of the events advertised were the Back Roads Vintage Market, the Wine Tasting Festival, Old Iron Days, and even the weekly farmers market. There was also a special section dedicated to the Old Creamery Nature Trail which is another prized part of Dysart. The trail runs from Dysart to Vinton and stops through Garrison on the way. It is a beautiful and very scenic trail which is lovely for bike rides, runs, or walks during the beautiful spring, summer, and fall months that Iowa has to offer.
Thank you so much to the DDC and all of the additional volunteers for your hours of hard work and dedication to help spread the word about our wonderful community and all of the amazing things Dysart has to offer!
